Famadihana season begins—this sacred bone-turning ceremony sees families exhume ancestors, rewrap them in fresh silk shrouds, and celebrate with music and dancing. Humpback whales arrive in force along the east coast and Île Sainte-Marie. Highland mornings can drop to 50°F—pack warm layers. Dry conditions continue with virtually no rainfall. All parks and roads in prime condition.
