Guyana Deep Wilderness Expedition
Fourteen days through some of Guyana's least-visited wilderness
This 14-day private expedition moves through some of Guyana’s least-visited terrain, from the thundering freefall of Kaieteur Falls to four nights in hammocks at Mapari Wilderness Camp beside a waterfall in the Kanuku Mountains, then south through Caiman House field station and Wichabai Ranch in the South Rupununi where GPS-tracked Giant Anteater research and the ancient petroglyphs of the Rupununi await. The route bypasses the standard North Rupununi lodge circuit entirely, moving through Karanambu Lodge, a working Black Caiman research station, a Harpy Eagle nest three minutes from camp, and one of the most remote wilderness camps in the Guiana Shield.
